Laser Barriers range in size from a small window to a large full enclosure. What’s best for your laser set-up?
Here are some things to consider.
- If you are operating a laser in an environment where only trained laser professionals have access to the room, then you may simply need a curtain to cover the window(s) or use a moveable barrier with castors. Curtains don’t have to hang from the ceiling. They can be attached to a surface with Velcro or magnets. This laser barrier is easy to remove and store if needed.
- Laser enclosures are useful for robotic laser systems and can be made per customer’s needs. The enclosure can have doors and windows. All containment systems – whether industrial laser enclosures, assembly line laser enclosures, welding enclosures or other types of integrated automatic enclosures – can be outfitted with a laser interlock system to ensure safe personnel access via enclosure doors, windows, and equipment hatches. These interlocks can also remove the need for laser safety eyewear outside the enclosure.
- Laser lab table enclosures for curtains. Some hang from existing overhead structures with heavy duty dual lock Velcro or are hung with a track/trolley system using floor plates or threaded rods. This might be used in a large lab with multiple tables that each need to be confined. We have options based on your floor plan.
